Yorsensory is York’s newest service offering friendly, and professional support for anyone with sight and/or hearing loss. Their vision is to help create a world in which all people with sight and hearing loss, including those with other disabilities, are truly integrated in society with equal opportunities in all aspects of life.

 

The logo is designed to visually communicate the areas of support that are provided by Yorsensory, the eye shape constructed with sound waves represents sight and hearing.

 

The title case wordmark is built from an easily readable typeface, customised to create a more coherent and approachable identity that accommodates the visually impaired.

 

The large font size and braille assists those with sight loss, while patterns are used to distinguish between the services provided. The patterns are derived from the logo- with complete circles representing sight and waves suggesting hearing.
